5th, 6th and 7th graders did some research on the History of the Olympics on the internet. This paved the way for reading "Theseus and the Minotaur" and more on Greek Mithology. In the exhibition they presented their final product: a written assignment on what they have read and description of their favourite athletes.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgFB8V8v5EBpARFqifz2AuwGf5b38fOz2eazJvR0TDh_dljIjr7FhUEhroJ0gnfwD_jIM4b0SfgWD95CISPl6H7CIVDLKYmnJod2kdRmRxhFc6tNsRPy3msBFUC4xYm-tj0TtEX53G8K8/s1600/100_1904.jpg)

School No.8 - School District No. 19 "Luis Federico Leloir" - Olympic Games News
Olympic News
Hi everybody, here you will find the closing video made by the students of School No. 8 – School District No. 19 “Luis Federico Leloir”. During the first half of the year the kids of 5th form “A” worked on the Olympic Games, the origins of this event and the significance of it regarding the promotion of the practice of sports and the importance of taking care of our health. The kids made this video as a news programme that comprises the research work they did about the Olympics, health care and the typical events previous to the celebration of the Olympic Games such as the Olympic Torch Relay and the Opening Ceremony. Nonetheless, this is not the last time you will hear from us…during the second half of the year, the kids will celebrate their own Olympic Games with their P E Teacher and at the very end of the year, the ceremony of medals will be held.
Hope you enjoy it!
